Suddenly a Favourite

(Muehlen) Everything is possible! The RIDERS TOUR, accompanied by the LGT Bank and MAN Trucks for the fourth season, is always good for a surprise. Christian Ahlmann (GER) catapulted from seventh to second place in the RIDERS TOUR rankings with his win in the Hanover Grand Prix aboard Taloubet Z. “Suddenly I am among the best. Before I was far away from Rider of the Year and now I belong to the favourites”, rejoiced the past double European Champion. Ludger Beerbaum (GER) also improved after his second place finish with Gotha in the Hanover Grand Prix and now holds the third place in the overall rankings. Although the world class riders were in top form, they didn’t manage to push Gilbert Boeckmann (GER) out of first place. The ranking king reached the winning round of the Hanover Grand Prix with his mare No father’s girl, the sign for the concurrence that he was ready. With two mistakes he managed to hold his lead, but the concurrence is nipping at his heels. The RIDERS TOUR competition did not go as planned for Marcus Ehning (GER). The leader of the world rankings had been leading with Gilbert Boeckmann before the GERMAN CLASSICS but two rails down with Sandro Boy cost him precious RIDERS TOUR points. It dropped him to fourth place. The GERMAN CLASSICS were the second to last station of the RIDERS TOUR. “We have seen top class sport”, rejoiced Stefan Rothhardt, manager of the LGT branch in Hamburg. Now everybody can look forward to the Final in Munich by the Munich Indoors with great excitement. “It will be a hard fight”, knows Christian Ahlmann. With this the riders have listened to Paul Schokemoehle, the manager of the RIDERS TOUR. His wish was that in Munich it would still be wide open and the Rider of the Year title would be decided in the Final. As was noticeable by the GERMAN CLASSICS – everything is possible. The best riders in the world will be joining the battle for RIDERS TOUR points. “It will be very suspenseful. Now it will be decided between the top riders”, said Paul Schockemoehle, who is looking forward to an exciting Final in the cosmopolitan city with heart. The Stages in Overview: 1.
