The Quartet “is playing” in Munich – RIDERS TOUR favourites are starting Sunday

(München)   The first “hurdle” has been accomplished: All four favourites for the sixth and last stage of the RIDERS TOUR, the Grand Prix of Munich on Sunday, have completed the qualification in sovereign form and not only that. Marcus Ehning (GER), the leading rider in the show jumping world rankings, won the Championat of Munich on Saturday with Plot Blue in front of Ludger Beerbaum (GER) with Couleur Rubin. Beerbaum is currently ranked third in the actual RIDERS TOUR standings and Ehning is in fourth place. Christian Ahlmann and the ranking leader Gilbert Boeckmann were a bit more modest. Ahlmann took the eighth place in the Championat with Taloubet Z, his winning mount from the fifth stage of the RIDERS TOUR in Hanover, while Gilbert Boeckmann saddled the eleven year old Common Sense for the qualifier and finished in 19th place. That was more than enough to reach the deciding sixth stage, the Grand Prix of Munich, which is comprised of the top 40 pairs from the Championat. For sure it will stay extremely exciting in Munich while the four protagonists are, thanks to their points, ranked extremely closely behind each other. Beerbaum is the only rider who has managed to win the RIDERS TOUR three times. Ehning will be bringing Sandro Boy to the start and Gilbert Boeckmann has set his complete trust in No father’s girl, his nine year old top mount. The winner on Sunday will be stepping into a brand new Volkswagen Tiguan, in the future the second place finisher will have a VW Passat of his wish and the third place finisher will be driving away in a speedy VW Golf. All three autos come with the best options…. Results - Championat of Munich, Qualification RIDERS TOUR: 1. Marcus Ehning (GER) with Plot Blue 0 Faults/ 37.86 Seconds, 2.
