The sporting regulations of the BEMER-Riders Tour 2019

 

Participation

The BEMER-Riders Tour is a series of six events in Germany, at which athletes may obtain points towards an overall final classification.

 

Point-System BEMER-Riders Tour Rating competitions: 20/17/15/13/11/10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1

 

A maximum of four results will count for the final classification. In case of equality of points the greater number of 1st places will decide (respectively 2nd places, and so on). If there is still equality of points, the better result in the rating-competition of the last leg will decide.

 

To be eligible for the final individual classification an athlete must compete at the last leg of the BEMER-Riders Tour 2019.

Preamble

For each leg of the series, the invitation of athletes must be made in accordance with the FEI CSI Invitation Rules according to the star level of the respective Event (see FEI Jumping Rules, AnnexV):

 

  1. All athletes placed 1st– 25th(CSI4*) /1st– 15th(CSI3*) of the LONGINES Rankings established two months prior to the Event (No.) (acc. to “FEI invitationrules”) (see: http://inside.fei.org/fei/disc/jumping/csi-invitation) substitutions for the top 25 (for CSI4*) or top15 (CSI3*) athletes must be made in descending order of the Longines Rankings

     

  1. All athletes placed 1st– 3rd on the 2018 Riders Tour Final Ranking;

     

  2. All athletes placed 1st-5thin the last valid ranking list of the BEMER-Riders Tour 2019.(For 1stleg: 1st– 5thFinal Ranking 2018)

     

  3. Additional athletes

     

    1. Further foreign athletes (up to a total number of approx.) (acc. to„FEIi nvitation rules“)

       

    2. Further German athletes (up to a total number of approx.) (acc. to a special handicap agreed upon with NFGER)

       

Format of Competitions

At each leg a qualifying competition takes place one day before the BEMER-Riders Tour rating competition, which counts for points for the BEMER-Riders Tour final ranking. The competitions are run according to the following formats:

Competition No. 1.

 

BEMERRiders Tour– Qualification for the Rating Competition (Comp. No. 2)

 

Competition over one round with one jump-off

 

Admitted Athletes: Open to all athletes according to preamble.

 

Table: Aaccording to Art.238.2.2 (acc. to penalties and time, with one jumpoff in case of equality of penalties for the 1st place)

 

Speed: 375 m/min. (outdoor) / 350 m/min.(indoor)

 

Height of Obstacles: 1,50m


Number of Horses per Athlete: 1

 

Number of Starters: if more than 100, please refer to Section XIV.9 *)


StartingOrder: 1stround: draw; jump-off as 1stround

 

Total PrizeMoney: Minimum EUR 30.000

 

Breakdown of PrizeMoney: Acc. to prizemoney distribution Chart1 (25% to winner). Prize money for each athlete placed 13th and beyond: EUR 150

Competition No.2.

 

BEMER-Riders Tour– Rating Competition (Events except CSI4* Hamburg)

 

Competition over two rounds

 

Admitted Athletes: Attending athletes placed 1st– 25th on the Longines Ranking

 

List used for the invitation of athletes for the event;

 

Athletes placed 1st– 3rdon the 2018 Riders Tour Final Ranking;

 

Athletes placed 1st5thon the most recent valid rankinglist of the 2019 BEMER-RidersTour (for the first leg of the 2019 series, this will be athletes placed 1st– 5th on the 2018 Riders Tour FinalRanking);

 

In addition, up to a total number of 50 athletes plus those tied for 50th place (for the last leg: up to a total number of 40 athletes plus those tied for 40th place), the best athletes from Competition 1.

 

Admitted Horses: Each athlete may start a horse of his own choice with which he must have completed the initial round of at least one FEI competition at the same event (See FEI Jumping Rules 261.4.4);

 

In case of abdication of a qualified athlete the next placed athlete may move up.

All clear rounds, however at least the best 25% (athlete/horse combinations) from the 1stround qualify for the 2ndround. In the 2ndround all qualified athletes start with 0 penalty points.

 

Athletes of the 2ndround are placed according to penalties and time of the 2ndround.

 

Possible further placements will be done acc. to penalties and time of the 1stround.

 

Speed: 400 m/min. (outdoor)/ 350 m/min. (indoor)

 

Height of Obstacles: max. 1,60m

 

Number of horses per Athlete: 1

 

Number of Starters: 50 (plus those tied for 50th place)

 

Starting order 1st Round: Reverse order of the result of Competition1

 

If pre-qualified athletes acc. to “admitted athletes did not start in Competition 1 they start first in reverse order of their placing on the Longines Ranking List used for the invitation of athletes for the event (acc.to preamble).

 

Starting order 2nd Round: Reverse order of penalties in the first round (athletes with the most penalties start first); athletes with equality of penalties start in the same order as in the 1st round.

 

Total PrizeMoney: Minimum EUR 75.000. All athletes in the 2nd round will receive prize-money.

 

Breakdown of PrizeMoney: Acc. to prize money distribution Chart1 (25% to winner). Prize money for each athlete placed 13thand beyond: EUR 250

Hamburg Derby – BEMER-RIDERS TOUR Rating Competition

 

AdmittedAthletes: Open to the best 32 athletes from the1stand 2ndqualifying Competitions (plus those tied for 32ndplace)

 

In case of abdication of a qualified athlete the next placed athlete may move up with the agreement of the OC and the President of the Ground Jury.

 

AdmittedHorses: Each athlete with one horse of his own choice.

Qualification System for the 1stplace: number of starters in 1stqualifier plus 1 Hamburg Derby (applicable to 2ndplace: number of starters in 1stqualifier less 1 both qualifying Competitions): 3rdplace: number of starters in 1stqualifier less2 Etc.
